  • Fife Social Enterprise of the Year Winner

    Created: 15/05/2014
    News/Events Category: Social Enterprise

    Identity was chosen by delegates at Fife’s Social Enterprise Trade Fair on Wednesday 07 May in the Rothes Halls. This annual event, organised by BRAG, allows social enterprises to showcase their services and successes. Identity was established in 2011 by Billy Zima and supports the development of people through creative arts.

    Identity helps people change their mind. This might be done through the Identity Creation programme which might involve:

    • Painting;
    • Card making;
    • Wet felting;
    • Animation;
    • Print making;
    • Photography;
    • Drama.

    Identity Creation currently delivers creative programmes to people with disabilities on Mondays at BRAG. They are broadening the creative delivery at BRAG at the request of the local community to include primary students, single parents, veterans, anti-social youth and the general public. Identity is soon to expand to Kirkcaldy delivering creative opportunities and will be seeking volunteers for both locations.

    People have an additional opportunity to change their mind through one of the other Identity Experience programmes offered:

    • Identity Discovery;
    • Identity Resilience;
    • Identity Leadership;
    • Identity Happiness;
    • Identity Counselling.

    Identity is very excited to be able to offer their services in Fife as over the last six months many, many people have articulated that there is nothing like this available.

    As Identity is a charity currently offering services free of charge there is a need to earn income to pay for supplies. Identity sells quality art (at awesomely low prices) from participants who make group paintings or want to donate their own artwork to support Identity. For those interested please contact Billy at 0782 499 6944.
