Fife’s Active Schools team work with primary, secondary, and additional support needs schools to increase the quality and range of opportunities to participate in sport. They also recruit and develop a network of volunteers and coaches, increase the number of young people accessing leadership roles, and support and develop pathways to improve the transition from schools to clubs.

The Provost of Fife is Councillor Jim Leishman MBE. The Provost is the Civic Head at ceremonial, formal and other important events, promoting the values of the council and enhancing the reputation of the council and Fife. As well as the civic role, the Provost also chairs the Full Council meeting attended by all 75 councillors to ensure everyone has a voice and all parties have a fair hearing.
