Hear from peers at heritage organisations across Scotland and seek advice from other attendees on remote volunteering.
Join members of the Volunteer Organisers Network (VON) at their regular open forum for people who support and organise volunteers, whether in a paid or unpaid capacity. VON focuses on supporting volunteer managers and organisers (paid or unpaid) from heritage organisations (natural, cultural and built heritage), but their events are open to volunteer organisers across all sectors.
This peer support session will focus on the pros, cons and good practice around remote volunteering. VON member Ben Reiss, Collections Manager at the National Collection of Aerial Photography, will kick off the session by sharing some of his experience of involving volunteers remotely. They would then be keen to hear from other attendees who are thinking of developing remote volunteering opportunities, have some that work well, or would like some feedback on their remote volunteering opportunities.
This is a great opportunity to talk with people in similar roles, share your volunteer organiser insights, ask questions and pick up practical tips.
