Lunchtime Learning - Power of Attorney
Created: 18/05/2026FVA lunchtime learning sessions are aimed at raising the skills and capacities of local service providers interested in improving or enhancing their provision in Fife.
Power of Attorney is often poorly understood and can leave people feeling vulnerable at times when those close to them are unable to take decisions for themselves, adding pressure and stress to situations that are already difficult to manage. At times of crisis, particularly health crises, it can suddenly become highly important for people to have a clear understanding of complex legal arrangements without much prior notice when they need to step in to manage someone else’s affairs.
Staff members of organisations that help people who are unwell and their relatives can also struggle to support them without knowledge of power of attorney.
May organisations can offer support to both key workers and their clients in understanding power of attorney. At this session we will be joined a variety of experts in power of attorney from both the public and third sector attorney who can help attendees understand:
