    Post: Community Corner and Volunteer Supervisor 
    Organisation: CLEAR Buckhaven & Methil
    Contract: Initially until 31 March 2027 and any continuation thereafter is dependant on available funding and job performance
    Hours: 18 hours worked over three days (Wednesday - Friday), but may consider extending to 24 hours worked over four days 
    Salary: £14.25 per hour 
    Location: Community Corner, Buckhaven

     

    Small local charity CLEAR Buckhaven & Methil is looking for a Community Corner & Volunteer Supervisor (CCVS) to manage the newly-renovated CLEAR Community Corner at 36 College St, Buckhaven and key related activities. The CCVS will also support other CLEAR actions, assisting with community engagement, work with other groups, agencies and businesses across Levenmouth, building community connections and partnerships and participate regularly as part of a team,

    They are looking for an enthusiastic, friendly, creative and organised person to supervise the Community Corner space, to supervise volunteer and placements and to take initiative to ensure the space is well-run and widely used and to ensure a welcoming, vibrant and informative environment. CLEAR seeks to improve and generate the wider community and support climate action.

    A full job description is available – as a newly created post, there is some flexibility.

    About you

    • Commitment to local community action, Levenmouth regeneration and climate action
    • Some work experience in similar settings, either voluntary, public or business setting
    • Reasonable education standard including good IT capabilities
    • Hard worker, able to work independently and take initiative but also ready to co-operate as a team player
    • Good communication skills, and an enthusiastic and open personality
