DWP Connect is aimed at anyone working with individuals in Fife who would benefit from a better understanding of the support available through the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) and Jobcentre Plus to assist people on their employability journey.

DWP offers far more than Universal Credit. There is a wide range of support available, much of which is not widely known by those supporting individuals into work.

At DWP Connect, specialist Jobcentre staff will provide insight into the full range of support available, including services that clients you are supporting may not currently be accessing.

Attendees will learn about support available to those who meet eligibility criteria, including:

    • Low Value Procurement / Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) - this will provide attendees with details on how to register on the Supplier Registration Service then bid for work through competitions once approved.
    • Flexible Support Fund (FSF) – addressing barriers to work – this will provide attendees with an understanding of the variety of funding available.
    • Childcare support – including upfront and ongoing costs – this will provide attendees with an understanding of the variety of childcare funding available for parents.
    • Youth Offer – this will provide attendees with an understanding of the routes into work that DWP offer.

Attendees will also gain awareness of support available to individuals who are and are not in receipt of benefits, including:

    • Autism Confident
    • The role of the Disability Employment Advisor
    • Access to Work

This event provides an opportunity to enhance your knowledge and strengthen the advice and signposting you provide, ensuring individuals accessing your service can fully benefit from the support available through DWP.
