  • Tenacious Campaigner Awards Open for Nominations

    Created: 22/04/2026
    News/Events Category: General News

The Tenacious Campaigner Awards are annual awards supporting campaigners to be more effective in achieving their goals. They believe determined campaigners can achieve significant impact for society, and they want to back them to have the greatest impact they can.

Tenacious is more than just a funding opportunity. Tenacious Award winners receive tailored development and capacity building support, which they hope will help campaigners strengthen and sustain their efforts to achieve change.

The awards are decided in July, with funding and support given over 12 months from September.

    Each selected campaigner receives:

    • £20,000 in funding to help achieve a concrete campaigning goal

    • Tailored developmental and capacity-building support to tackle specific campaign needs

    • Access to a unique peer community of campaigners

    • Access to the Law for Change and Changing Ideas networks, connecting you to public interest lawyers, journalists and other campaigners

    • Public recognition as a Tenacious campaigner

    • A place at the Tenacious annual event to share their campaign

    • Access to wellbeing support

The funding must be used to help achieve the campaign goal. Applicants will be asked to explain how the award would contribute to the effectiveness of their campaign.

    Eligibility

They’re committed to supporting campaigners wherever there is a clear injustice. This year, we’re particularly keen to hear from:

    • Campaigners holding corporates to account where there is clear evidence of harm – especially where companies exploit people or the environment, including addictive products and harmful practices in sectors such as food, pharmaceuticals, gambling, tech, and beyond.

    • Campaigners working to prevent avoidable deaths – for example, focusing on suicide prevention, improving workplace safety, or holding corporations accountable after loss of life, such as in the Post Office scandal or the Grenfell Tower fire tragedy.

    • Campaigners based in Scotland – working on issues that affect people and communities in Scotland.

    How to nominate

The closing date for nominations is Friday 15 May 2026.
