Express Group Fife Welcome New Service Manager
Created: 16/04/2026Express Group Fife (EGF) is happy to share the news that Jacquie Mellon has been successfully recruited as the new Service Manager, with the upcoming retirement of Gary Guichan.
Jacquie has a background working and volunteering in the third sector for over 23 years, initially with mental health charities - an area that's always been close to her heart.
Jacquie has a wide range of experience from her time at Penumbra, Safe Space, Remploy, The Samaritans, and laterally as the Head of Health & Social Care at Fife Voluntary Action, and she is keen to share the knowledge she has gained working across partnerships in Fife.
Starting in the role on Monday 13 April, Jacquie is busy travelling around Fife visiting groups, meeting staff, volunteers and services users, and getting to grips with the policies, procedures and practices within EGF.
Jacquie said "This is an exciting opportunity for me to use my varied skills from my previous roles; at a strategic level, supporting the staff team and being able to support the groups, volunteers and service users. There's still plenty here for me to learn and that excites me too!"
In his leaving statement, Gary said "It has been a pleasure to be the Service Manager of EGF for almost seven years. I would like to thank all the staff and volunteers who have been with us over this time for their help and dedication. The staff team have shown real commitment and empathy to their roles over my time involved. Without volunteers, organisations like EGF simply couldn't function. Our dedicated trustees, current and former, which every third sector organisation legally needs to function, have given me fantastic support and guidance. It has been a pleasure to work with our service users and feel that I have at least played a small part in helping each of you get your individual benefit from Express Group. I'm happy to be handing over the reins to Jacquie Mellon who I have known for a long time and I'm sure she will lead the organisation on from strength to strength."
