April is Stress Awareness Month - an opportunity for you and your workers to explore what stress means to you and how stressors can be identified and reduced at work, for improved health and wellbeing.

Fife Health Promotion Service Workplace Team is offering organisations to join a Take Some Breathing Space virtual information session as part of Stress Awareness Month.

This virtual information session is presented by Lisa-Jane Dock, National Development Officer for Breathing Space, and covers the following aim and objectives:

    Aim:

To increase the knowledge and understanding of Breathing Space, Scotland’s phone line and webchat service across Scotland.

    Objectives:

    • To introduce the suite of mental health services offered by NHS 24, ranging from digital support to urgent care.

    • To build the knowledge and understanding of Breathing Space to produce the barriers to seeking help by increased awareness of the Breathing Space phone line and web chat service.

    • To promote help-seeking behaviours by reducing the stigma towards help-seeking by talking about the service and the promotional material available from Breathing Space website.

    • To build confidence and capacity to signpost effectively and appropriately to Breathing Space.

    • To highlight the national partnerships managed by Breathing Space and the national initiative, ‘Take some Breathing Space’ bench initiative.

The virtual information session will provide opportunities for reflection, questions and comments and profiles Breathing Space as a useful resource to signpost workers to, if they need individual listening support.
