    Created: 01/04/2026
News/Events Category: Health and Social Care

From 01 April 2026, NHS Education for Scotland (NES) and NHS National Services Scotland (NSS) are joining together to create a new organisation to help deliver the ambitions of the Health & Social Care Service Renewal Framework, as well as the wider Public Service Reform Strategy.

The Scottish Government has announced that the name for the new organisation will be Public Services Delivery Scotland (PSD Scotland).

PSD Scotland will be the public sector's national enabler of transformation, driving digital innovation, workforce development, education, training and Once for Scotland services to deliver efficient, equitable and future-ready health and social care.

Its creation is part of the Scottish Government's strategy to respond effectively to the future challenges we face, including shifting demographics, growing demand, the impacts of changing climate, and financial pressures.
