  • Ready Scotland Launch New Website

    Created: 18/03/2026
    News/Events Category: General News

Ready Scotland will launch their refreshed website on Tuesday 24 March 2026 with a cleaner look and an easier to navigate structure.

Ready Scotland's purpose remains the same - to provide practical, accessible advice to the public on how to prepare their home, family, and business for disruption caused by emergencies.

    Why they're updating the site

While their core purpose and brand aren't changing, they still know there are improvements they can make to ensure the site continues to meet the highest standards for accessibility, clarity and ease of use.

    The updated site will offer:

    • Improved navigation to help people quickly find the information they need
    • Easier to read content across key preparedness topics
    • A more intuitive layout which has been designed with both the public and our partners in mind

These changes will support an easier, accessible and more user-friendly experience overall.

The Ready Scotland e-learning modules will also be converted into accessible publication pages. Although this means they will be less interactive, they will meet accessibility standards and allow us to better understand how users engage with this content.

You can update your bookmarks to our new URL – ready.campaign.gov.scot - but they will continue to use ready.scot in all of their public communications and campaigns, which will redirect to their new site homepage.

As the site structure is changing, they won’t be able to apply redirects to all content.
