The Rozelle Trust
Created: 04/03/2026The Trust has been established to support a wide range of charitable activities and their main priorities are children and young people, people living in poverty, and people with disabilities. They will generally support smaller charities, especially those working at grassroots and local community level where the funds will be able to make a significant difference. Large national charities are unlikely to be considered.
The Trust aims to help charities with activities that are primarily based in Scotland, or overseas in developing countries. Priority is given to projects that support the very poorest in their community.
The Trust is keen to work with organisations that can demonstrate that the funds are making a real difference. It is important to the Trust that the funded organisations can demonstrate sound business sense in their activities, i.e. focused use of funds without unnecessary overheads.
A key component of a longer term relationship will be the Trust’s ability to understand and measure how successful the funds have been in benefiting the community or project supported.
The Trust’s funding priorities are individual projects that can be isolated from core activities as much as possible. Whilst core costs may be funded for organisations as part of longer term support this would normally only be applicable following successful funding of at least one project.
