NHS Fife CAMHS: Supporting Children, Young People and Families to Manage Risk
Created: 04/03/2026NHS Fife CAMHS invite you to join them to think about how you can provide support and containment to children, young people, and their families who are experiencing difficulties with distress, suicidal ideation, and self-harm.
The training
They will facilitate an interactive learning session where they aim to increase your confidence in having conversations about risk associated with distress, self-harm, and suicidal ideation.
You will then think about how you can support children, young people, and their families to create a safety plan and introduce them to helpful supports.
At the end of the session, you will take the time to create and practice helpful coping strategies that you can share with the children, young people, and families you are working with.
