Public Health Scotland has recently launched the  a new resource - a publicly accessible child poverty prevention dashboard.

Click here to access the dashboard.

This information resource contains a range of national, routinely available data indicators related to child poverty and its drivers. You can find out more by following the link and clicking on the tabs “About the dashboard” and “Dashboard guide”.

A number of local and national stakeholders supported and informed the development of the dashboard, with a special thanks to Midlothian, NHS Lothian and the user testing group.

This interactive dashboard aims to make child poverty data easier and more accessible for local areas to plan and deliver action on child poverty. The dashboard can support:

    • Identifying local needs and select priorities
    • Monitoring and evaluation

Key features of the resource include comparison with other local authority areas, geographical breakdowns of the data below local authority area and heat maps, and an ‘Insights’ button which contains additional context related to primary indicators.
