    Salary: £12.60 per hour
    Location: Glenrothes-based working predominately from Auchmuty Learning Centre but with work at the local high schools and primary schools

     

    This is an exciting opportunity to join a grassroots youth work project and be part of a small dynamic team. Youth Auchmuty Project is looking for a Youth Worker to work with young people to provide quality face-to-face youth provision in Glenrothes, using a relationship-based, young person-led approach. You will engage young people in their own communities by contributing towards their learning and development as well as increasing youth participation and encouraging young people to present their views, ideas and suggestions for change, working towards co-production.

    The role

    • Plan, deliver and lead face-to-face youth work provision - P7 Transition Programme, Youth Caf
    • Work with young people to plan events, engage and develop within the community, focusing on youth participation
    • Develop young people's skills, knowledge, resilience and confidence through training, developing sessions specific to their needs and building relationships

    Hours 

    There is existing weekly provision that the Youth Worker will be required to work, and then additional hours to be agreed collaboratively. Weekly provision includes: 

    • Wednesday, 1.30 - 6.30pm: Admin/Team meeting development group - working with young people to develop skills, improve wellbeing and plan local events for young people 
    • Thursday, 10.45am - 12.30pm: P7 transition programme - delivering the programme in a local primary school 
    • Friday, 4.30 - 8.30pm: Youth Cafe 
    • TBC: 2.5 hours fitness programme and planning content with young people
