Across Fife, more than 50,000 carers dedicate their time to supporting family and friends affected by illness, disability, mental health challenges, or addiction. The Carers Community Chest exists to recognise their contribution and improve their wellbeing.
Fife Health and Social Care Partnership run the fund and are now inviting applications for Round 3 of funding. Community groups and charities in Fife can apply for up to £10,000 per project to create spaces and activities that support local carers.
Funding can be used for a wide range of projects, such as:
- Carers' cafés, coffee mornings or supper clubs
- Arts, crafts, gardening or allotment groups
- Walking, cycling, swimming or other fitness activities
- Cooking classes, reading groups, music or theatre projects
- New carers’ support groups in your local area
Whether you are building something new or expanding an existing idea, this is a chance to make a real difference for carers in your community.
