    There are many changes coming to PVG and Disclosure in Scotland on Tuesday 01 April 2025. Make sure you and your organisation are aware of the changes and put steps in place to ensure you're compliant with new laws.

    We have created a handy PDF guide to the upcoming changes. This will give you an overview of what's taking place, but we strongly recommend that you do further reading on the subject and attending training and information sessions when you can. For further reading, please visit www.disclosure.gov.scot and www.volunteerscotland.net.

    In addition to the changes to the law, there are two important pieces of information: 

    1. The Scottish Government will continue the PVG fee waiver for volunteers - read more
    2. The Disclosure Scotland fees will remain largely the same from 01 April 2025 - read more

    FVA Training Sessions

    Learn about the new legislation and how you can prepare, and have a chance to ask questions
    Thursday 20 March 2025, 2.00-4.00, online 

     

    Legal Requirements Training 
    Learn what the changes for you and the steps you need to take to ensure compliance. We'll discuss the importance of making referrals under the PVG scheme, your legal responsibilities, and practical guidance on how to meet these obligations. 
    Monday 24 March 2025, 10.00-11.30, online

     

    Regulated Roles Training 
    Learn about 'regulated roles' and how they will be defined under the new PVG/Disclosure laws when working with children and/or protected adults. You'll learn about your legal requirement, key changes, and what help you can access.
    Thursday 27 March 2025, 10.00-12.00, online

     

    Volunteer Scotland Training Sessions
