    The Trust gives grants to registered charities that work in the UK. They focus on specific priorities every year.

    In rounds 3 and 4 the theme is Food Poverty. They will consider applications that focus on:

    • Providing nutritious meals
    • Food education
    • Cooking skills
    • Eliminating food waste

    Fund award sizes

    Maximum: £1,000

    Notes on award amounts:

    • Grant rounds 1 and 3 have a maximum grant of £1,000
    • Grant rounds 2 and 4 have a maximum of £5,000

    Who can apply

    They only award grants to organisations registered with the Charity Commission or OSCR, or exempt from registration.

    In grant rounds 1 and 3, the minimum annual income and expenditure is £100,000 and the maximum is £1m.

    In grant rounds 2 and 4, the minimum income and expenditure is £1m with no maximum.

    Minimum annual income: £100,000

    Maximum annual income: £1,000,000

    Exclusions

    They do not fund:

    • Capital appeals, including equipment
    • Charities involved with religion (including repair of Church fabric)
    • Charities involved with animals (welfare and conservation)
    • Holidays, including respite holidays
    • Individual hospices (national organisations can apply)
    • Individuals, including individuals embarking on a trip overseas with a charitable organisation
    • Minibuses or other Vehicles
    • Overseas projects
    • Schools, including activities
    • Scouts, Guides, Cubs, Brownies
    • Sea Cadets
    • Shopmobility
    • Students
    • Village Halls

    How to apply

    An online application form is available on the Trust website. Please apply only if your charity meets the relevant income and expenditure criteria. This changes each round so check the website guidelines before applying.

    The closing date for applications is Wednesday 31 July 2024.
