Do you work with children, young people, and families who report sleep difficulties impacting on their life? Do you work in the voluntary sector, social work, education, or health? If so, Sleep Action have a free training opportunity to become a sleep advisor.
The training aims to:
- Teach about the physiology of sleep and behavioural approaches that you can then use to help and support families to establish and maintain a good night time routine
- Develop the multi-agency workforce to be skilled, knowledgeable, and confident in delivering early intervention support in relation to sleep, helping to prevent escalation and crisis
- Develop a holistic workforce approach, making sleep everyone’s business. Consistent sleep messaging and importance of sleep from the collective workforce
500 staff in Fife across agencies (health, education, social work and the voluntary sector) will be trained as sleep advisors between 2024 and 2025.
Sleep Advisors will disseminate learning and support colleagues to deliver consistent messages about sleep.
