A lady is looking to recruit a team of staff to support her, initially in her current tenancy, but with the understanding she'll eventually moved to Dundee. In the first instance, she is focused on finding a Support Advisor to lead the team, but she would also be interested in hearing from people who would consider a Personal Assistant role.

    • Have financial and household budgeting skills

    About the employer

The employer is a lady in her 60s who lives in her own adapted home in Glenrothes. She has cerebral palsy and is unable to walk or speak, but she's never let her disability hold her back.

The lady has a job at the University of Dundee which she loves. She would particularly love to study for a degree. She also enjoys holidays, music, cinema, TV, socialising (particularly over a coffee or a good meal), getting her hair done, and going clothes shopping.

Most importantly, she wants to be free to lead a safe, independent, and fulfilling life, surrounded by good friends and family, in a community she knows and where she has opportunities to enjoy amenities nearby. She needs female staff who she knows and trusts, who see her potential, and allow her to control her support and life choices.

The lady is considering moving to Dundee in order to be closer to the university and the amenities that the city can offer. This is part of her longer-term plan, and ideally she's looking for staff who would consider working with her after she moves, as well as while she's in Fife.
