Bekki Gorgon, Engagement Officer at St Andrews Botanic Garden, will be sharing the impact that the "Planting For Your Piece" project has had on their volunteer programme and garden community.

Bekki will explain how this project, supported by the Fife Communities Mental Health and Wellbeing Fund, has evolved over the past two years, as well as sharing lessons from this project that may be helpful for other organisations looking to set up supported volunteering programmes or widen access to volunteering.

Bekki's presentation will include the following:

    • Quick introduction to St Andrews Botanic Garden, what we do and existing volunteer programme
    • Opportunities and gaps in the volunteer programme which created potential for Planting For Your Piece
    • What Planting For Your Piece has achieved
    • Lessons learned and changes to the programme over the past two years
    • Next steps for Planting For Your Piece and the volunteer programme - how we're going to ensure capacity for the programme/making it resilient

After the 20-30 minute presentation, there will be an opportunity for attendees to ask questions.
