This event is being organised by Fife Voluntary Action
It is too late to book a place for this particular session, sorry about that.Are you part of a voluntary organisation with an interest in housing and/or supporting people in relation to tenancies, adaptations, support at home etc.? Then come along to the Third Sector Emergency Housing Session, where we will be raising awareness of the housing emergency recently declared in Fife, what it means and seek suggestions and support to improve outcomes for the people of Fife.
Gavin Smith, Service Manager of Housing Services at Fife Council, will deliver a presentation to the group and there will be plenty of discussion opportunities.
Between the housing emergency in Fife and a cut to funding for the Affordable Housing Programme, there are currently around 1,900 households in Fife assessed as homeless and waiting for a tenancy. This pressure is being felt across the UK, and Fife is the fourth Scottish local authority to declare a housing emergency.
Come along to hear about the current housing situation, discuss ideas, and help to drive forward solutions for the people of Fife.
