NHS Fife - Hospital appointments and young men survey
Created: 11/04/2024NHS Fife analysed their appointment data and found that young men are the group least likely to be able to make an appointment. Young men aged 18-34 (particularly 25-34) are at highest risk of not attending an appointment with secondary care specialities.
NHS recognise that they need to understand the perspectives of young men in order to act on this data.
They'd like your help to understand why, so that they can make changes to support young men to attend hospital and clinic appointments. Their focus is on the appointments they are offered after a discussion with a GP, practice nurse, or another community team (also known as secondary care). They want to understand what barriers you face to attend a secondary care appointment.
