It is too late to book a place for this particular session, sorry about that.

FVA lunchtime learning sessions are aimed at raising the skills and capacities of local service providers interested in improving or enhancing their provision in Fife.

The autism spectrum is now far better understood than it used to be and there's more awareness about struggling to fit into a work environment and having trouble adapting through autism. However, this barrier to employment can be navigated.

At this session, Katy MacGregor, Disability Employment Coordinator at Fife Council’s Skills Development Centre will help us to understand:

    • How autism differs from other mental health conditions
    • What it’s like to be an autistic person at work
    • How the workplace can adapt to accommodate those with autism or Asperger’s syndrome
    • Who to approach for advice, whether you are a person with autism or a workplace employing those on the autism spectrum
