The Way Forward for Families Partnership funding programme opens following a review and re-design of the Partnership Drugs Initiative. This fund is delivered in partnership with Corra Foundation and Scottish Government. It will continue to focus on improving the lives and outcomes for children, young people and families in Scotland who are affected by drugs and alcohol.

The programme will distribute £615,000 in grants. Applicants can apply for up to £250,000 over three years and a minimum of 50% matched funding must be in place in each funding year. Decision-making the Way Forward for Families Fund will be led by a group of young people with lived experience of the impact of drugs and alcohol.

    What you can apply for

    • Grants of up to £250,000 over a three-year period, are available, for partnerships who are currently delivering work which directly supports children, young people and families affected by drugs and alcohol
    • Funding can be used for a range of project costs – e.g. staff costs, activity costs, volunteer costs, costs which support participation and engagement, research and evaluation

They are unable to accept applications for capital development – they can fund equipment costs where these are not the predominate focus of the project, but cannot fund building or restoration works, or large/fixed equipment costs.
