News/Events Category: Funding and FinanceThe fund considers small grant applications from UK registered non-profit organisations supporting grassroots projects in diverse and deprived communities. Their current funding themes are:
- Environment
- Countryside
- Social inclusion
- Health and wellbeing
- Heritage and conservation
- Education
Across all of these funding themes, they are particularly interested in projects in deprived communities across the four nations: England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.
Fund award sizes
Maximum - £5,000
Who can apply
To apply for a small grant, your organisation must:
- Be a UK registered non-profit organisation
- Have an annual income of less than £1 million
- Have completed two years of activity
- Have less than six months free reserves
- If seeking funding for a project, the total cost of the project should not exceed £200,000
Exclusions
- Individuals and public bodies
- Non-profit organisations which are part of a federation
- Organisations that mainly distribute grants to other organisations
- Organisations with political associations or interests
- Cover capital expenditure with the exception of community-based heritage conservation and restoration projects aimed at preserving the fabric of historic buildings

Complete the pre-screening questionnaire on the Fund website. You can then complete the online application form.
The closing date for applications is 5.30pm on Monday 19 February 2024.
