  • Dunfermline Athletic - Community Heating Project

    Created: 12/12/2023
    News/Events Category: Funding and Finance

Dunfermline Athletic Football Club (DAFC) is proud to partner with The Community Heating Project, a local Fife-based fund where 100% of the money raised goes towards helping local, vulnerable people with their heating and hot water. This could be fixing a broken boiler, replacing condemned boilers, or ensuring everything works efficiently to reduce costs over winter. They also help to install household items such as gas cookers, washing machines, and bathroom essentials such as baths, showers, sinks, and toilets.

Alister Burn, DAFC Commercial Manager said “A lot of our supporters will stretch beyond their means to come along and support the team on a Saturday and that doesn’t go unnoticed. When we were presented with the opportunity to get involved with the project everyone at the club stepped up including personal donations from the players and management, and bucket collections by the Pars Foundation walk and talk group. This has allowed us to raise awareness for the project and the funds needed to install the first boiler system.”

If you, or someone you know has a broken boiler and would like to be considered to receive the boiler system please e-mail: [email protected] or call them on 01383 435 993.

    Please include the following:

    1. Are you the homeowner and live in Fife?
    2. Is your boiler broken?
    3. Are you in fuel poverty and can’t afford to have your boiler replaced?
    4. Is it a combi boiler that you have?

**Please note that due to the cost of a replacement and because of the type of boiler kindly provided by City Plumbing Rosyth, your current system must be a broken combi boiler.**

All applications will be assessed by the RGM Heating specialists and the install will be chosen using their criteria. All applicants will be contacted as you may be eligible for other help, support, and guidance.
