    LinkLiving has two exciting opportunities for young people in Fife, with new cohorts starting for both courses in January 2024.

    LinkLiving is now accepting referrals and will be looking to set up initial meetings with young people before the Christmas break.

     

    Moving On Up 

    • This is a personal development programme for 16-19 year olds with no positive destination
    • The course runs on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, 10.00am-3.00pm, with the opportunity to attend on Wednesdays for 1-2-1 support
    • Young people will work on confidence building through mental health and wellbeing workshops, volunteering opportunities, and completing the SCQF Level 4 Personal Development Award
    • The course runs in three month blocks and the next intake will be at the beginning of January 2024
    • This course is most suitable for those with anxiety and requiring help making decisions about next steps
    • The course will be tailored to suit individuals taking part

    Step On 

    • This is a pre-employability programme for 16-19 year olds 
    • The course runs on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, 10.00am-3.00pm, and is for young people not currently in employment or education 
    • This course is a partnership with Raith Rovers Community Foundation, so for the first eight weeks, participants have the opportunity to take part in different sporting activities in the afternoon. They also have the option to complete coaching badges and volunteer with Raith Rovers
    • This course looks at wellbeing and how physical activity can be helpful in looking after mental health. It will also cover pre-employability skills, and participants will complete the SCQF Level 4 Employability Award, work on developing their skills, adn receive help with CV, applications etc. 
    • Like Moving On Up (above), the course runs in three month blocks and the next intake will be January 2024 
    • This is most suitable for those who may be a bit closer to going into employment or other training 
    • Participants don't need to be sporty to take part but it would be useful for those who like football and other sports too

    Both courses run for 12 weeks in a group setting, based at LinkLiving's premises in West Bridge Mill, Kirkcaldy.

    Lunch and refreshments are provided throughout. After this period, the young person can be further supported through 1-2-1 sessions where required.
