    The Scottish Government has declared its commitment to improving the mental health of the nation through its new Mental Health and Wellbeing StrategyThe vision is of a Scotland, free from stigma and inequality, where everyone fulfils their right to achieve the best mental health and wellbeing possible.

    With the publication of the Mental Health and Wellbeing Delivery Plan and accompanying Workforce Action Plan in November 2023, Holyrood Insight’s Mental Health and Wellbeing in Scotland Conference will set out the actions you can take at both national and local levels to implement the changes. They will share best practice in delivering the three key pillars of new strategy:

    1. Promotion 
    2. Prevention 
    3. Provision of services

    Attend to hear about plans to support and develop a skilled and diverse mental health and wellbeing workforceHear practical solutions to address talent development, recruitment and retention challenges.

    There will be a focus on how to tackle inequalities and support certain groups of people who may suffer disproportionate impacts on their mental healthSpeakers will look at local community support for mental health and funding available.The new strategy has been heavily influenced by the voices of lived experience. They will explore how service users can help drive the development and improvement of mental health services. And how can we embed trauma-informed and responsive practices and systems across Scotland?
