Applications are open again for the community-led local development (CLLD) fund. Financed by the Scottish Government, the Fife Rural Development Fund (FRDF) is inviting applications from community groups, organisations, and local charities in rural Fife, who deliver services to those who live in rural Fife.

All projects must be completed, and funds spent by 28 February 2024. Due to the tight timescale, the deadline for applications is 20 November 2023. Funds are available for revenue spending, with a small amount also available for capital costs.

Community Grants (up to £25,000 and on average £15,000)

These are open to constituted voluntary groups, organisations, registered small businesses (including sole traders), registered charities, and trusts. Community projects must meet at least one of four priorities:

    • Moving towards more sustainable practices
    • Better environmental solutions/working towards Net Zero
    • Supporting young people and minority groups
    • Addressing cost of living/rural poverty challenges
    • Rural community capacity building

    • Child poverty

Decisions on funding will be made by the Fife Local Action Group (LAG) which has extensive experience in the administration and delivery of projects in rural areas across Fife.

The LAG is a group of members representing various agencies, the public sector, small businesses and voluntary organisations across Fife. They previously held decision making responsibility for the European programme of funding for rural projects, LEADER.

To apply, please complete the relevant online application form below. The closing date for these applications is 11.59am on 20 November 2023.
