This course has been designed to increase participants’ knowledge and understanding of issues relating to HIV, from a social, emotional, and physical viewpoint, and to increase confidence in addressing these issues with clients.
Learner Outcomes
By the end of this course, participants will have:
- An understanding of the prevalence and transmission routes of HIV
- An understanding of testing, current treatments, their effectiveness, and possible side effects
- An understanding of the psychological and social impact of living with HIV
Who should attend?
Everyone working with individuals who may be affected by HIV and wish to increase their knowledge in this area to be able to discuss with confidence.
