When: 10.00-11.40, Thursday 23 November 2023 Where: Zoom This event is being organised by Volunteer Scotland
It is too late to book a place for this particular session, sorry about that.
Volunteer Scotland is thrilled to welcome the Cabinet Secretary for Social Justice, Shirley-Anne Somerville MSP, who will open proceedings at their Net Zero in Volunteering Event and AGM.
They’re also delighted to have internationally renowned speaker, Martin J Cowling, who will run an interactive session exploring Net Zero in Volunteering, see Martin’s bio here. The UK has set the most ambitious target to reduce carbon emissions by 2030.
Volunteering plays a crucial role in driving change, influencing policy, raising awareness on a broader scale, and promoting sustainable practices. We’ll discuss how volunteering can support our Net Zero ambition of a reduction of more than half of our impact on the environment in just seven years, as well as the next step actions we can all take. Full event details and programme are available below.
