    It is too late to book a place for this particular session, sorry about that.

    This Fife Communities Climate Action Network (FCCAN) event will look at how sharing and re-use of household goods are helping to reduce consumption within the community and University of St Andrews through the work of St Andrews Environmental Network (StAndEN) and Transition University St Andrews.

    Attendees will visit the Transition Re-use warehouse to see how £10,000’s worth of household goods are re-used within the University and Community every year, and this will include a visit to the St Andrews Environmental Network Hub to see how sharing and bulk purchasing can reduce waste before a discussion on how communities can develop sharing as a route to supporting people, place and planet.

    Attendees will learn about the practicalities of running volunteer led re-use and sharing programmes as well as explore opportunities for developing their own schemes.

    Travel/accessibility notes:

    • There is a 5-10 minute walk between venues;
    • The Transition Re-use warehouse is a very full pair of garages which can be reached by wheelchair but it might be difficult to navigate inside. Help will be provided. All welcome.
