    • Yousaf said more than £400m would be invested into the Scottish Child Payment scheme;
    • The government announced an expansion programme of free school meals meaning it will be rolled out to P6 and P7 pupils;
    • By February, the Scottish government will look to remove income thresholds for the Best Start Foods programme. This will help an estimated 20,000 mothers and children who Yousaf says will benefit from support for healthy food;

    • The government are aiming to improve childminder recruitment

    • The FM also promised £750m for affordable homes – with 10% to be built in island and rural communities. This will help the government to meet its target of securing 110,000 affordable homes by 2032.
