This item will show under the following categories: Technology Training and LearningCode Division is running a series of courses over the later part of the year to support those with barriers to the labour market into gaining more advanced data-management skills, and “Data and Python” is part of this programme.

Course details below:
DATA AND PYTHON
- Pre -Course: Python Fundamentals (self-paced)
- SQA Level: Level 8
- Course Length: 6 weeks
- Delivery: 2 x Evening Workshops per week (5 to 7)
- Starts: Join Waiting List (cohort 3) October 2023
Learning outcomes:
- Using Python as a tool to strengthen analytical thinking and creative problem-solving skills;
- Creating functions;
- Learn to use NumPy, Panda libraries and code reuse;
- Data types and structures.
Learning support is available in the form of:
- 6 month pre-paid sim cards;
- Chat GPT translation and business English Resources;
- Industry workshops offering potential digital job roles.
To be eligible, applicants must live in Tayside regions (Dundee, Angus, North East Fife, Perth and Kinross) and places are offered to:
- Women;
- People from ethnic minority backgrounds;
- Refugees;
- People living with a disability;
- People earning below £24K;
- People who are underemployed or unemployed.
