We're delighted to announce the shortlist for the organisation awards at Fife Voluntary Action's Volunteering and Voluntary Sector Awards 2023.

It's been a few years since we've been able to hold our awards ceremony. We were excited to read about all the fantastic work that Fife's third sector has been up to in that time, and we were not disappointed. We received well over 200 nominations across the fifteen categories, and the standard across the board was as excellent as ever.

Keep an eye on our social media channels where we'll soon share each of the nominees' stories and show why they deserved to be shortlisted. That's not to say they were the only ones deserving - we had to make some tough decisions to narrow down the guest list to the ceremony- due to take place in Dunfermline during Volunteers' Week.

We want to thank every nominator for taking the time to recognise the excellent work of the organisations and volunteers in their community. As much as we know about the sector, these awards always throw up some engaging and exciting projects that had maybe passed us by a little, and we love having the chance to appreciate just how strong Fife's third sector is and how essential the people in it are to their communities.

We'd also like to thank our independent panel of judges for sifting their way through the shortlist and making the tough decisions for us:

    • Derek McEwan - (Chief Superintendent, Police Scotland)

    • Nicky Connor - (Director, Fife Health & Social Care Partnership)

    • Paula Meise - (Senior Policy Lead for Third Sector Interfaces, Scottish Government)

We'll be sharing the shortlist for the individual awards next week. Make sure you're subscribed to our News and Events e-bulletin so that you don't miss it!
