Community advocacy is a preventative and proactive approach that supports people to be active citizens and self-advocate in relation to decisions affecting their lives.
This workshop is facilitated by Public Health Scotland and delivered by Voluntary Health Scotland. It covers;
- How advocacy can mitigate the impact of health inequalities.
- Increase your confidence in identifying and working with communities.
- Gain ideas for your own community advocacy role.
The format will be an interactive learning session with a mix of presentations, group exercises and sharing experiences with peers.
