It is too late to book a place for this particular session, sorry about that.

The inaugural Scottish Gambling Education Conference will be held on Thursday 24 November, focusing on the theme of 'Inspiring the Next Steps'.

This event is free and is intended for anyone who works with children, young people, or families across Scotland. This is a hybrid event, and you can choose to attend either virtually or in person, at the Scottish Storytelling Centre in Edinburgh.

The conference will focus on how to embed awareness around gambling harms into your practice and aims to:

    • Inspire action
    • Share success and good practice
    • Learn from barriers and challenges

There will be opportunities for networking, and practical and interactive workshops to stimulate engagement. The team will also be showcasing peer inspiration and education projects developed by young people.

There will be keynote speeches, panel discussions as well as a choice of workshops you can register to:

    • Workshop A (in person): Let's talk about gambling! Games and activities for youth groups
    • Workshop B (in person): Activities for supporting families to embrace the digital world
    • Workshop C (virtual): 'Going Forward to Own It’ - Developing interactive games to support harm reduction
    • Workshop D (virtual and in-person): ‘One Last Spin’ – Film screening and Q&A

More information on the workshops is detailed in this document.
