Our Volunteer Managers' Forums are open to anyone who works in Fife and who is involved in the recruitment and/or management/supervision of volunteers.
Volunteer Management can sometimes be a solitary role within an organisation, and our Forums are a great way to meet other people who are doing a similar role to you and reduce any sense of isolation you may have. There's also the chance to network (formally and informally), catch up with changes happening in the field, discuss issues you may have and ask questions of any guest speaker and FVA staff who will be in attendance.
Volunteer recruitment and retention is affected by many factors, and at this forum, we want to help you with both issues. We’ll focus on inclusive volunteering, which can give you access to volunteers you’ve not previously considered.
It's a big topic, covering much more than the Equality Act's Protected Characteristics (we'll help you through what these are, what the Scottish Government suggests they should be and what else they might encompass). We'll look at the latest trends, in this category and beyond. What successes and challenges have you had with inclusive volunteering - let's get together in person and find out!
