Hours: 3.5-5 days per week. The Development Officer post has the potential to be part-time (with additional admin support) or full-time. Flexible working hours which will include occasional evening and weekend work.
Salary: £26,000 - £28,000 (pro rata if part-time)
Location: This post will be home-based (if possible) and will require regular face-to-face meetings in Burntisland.
Burntisland Community Development Trust (BCDT) is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual with relevant skills and experience to work with the Board and wider the community to review and update Burntisland's Community Action Plan and to help build the capacity of the Trust to facilitate and support its implementation.
Now in its fourth year, BCDT was formed out of Burntisland's first Community Action Plan. It works on behalf of the community to take forward the elements of the CAP that focus on community development and urban and rural regeneration. It is now working in partnership with Burntisland Community Council to review the Community Action Plan establish new goals and activities as identified by the community and funding has been secured from the Strengthening Communities Programme to employ staff to help take this forward.
This is an exciting opportunity to bring the skills, knowledge and experience you have gained from working in a community setting, supporting volunteers, engaging with local groups and other stakeholders and taking forward the development and delivery of local community-led plans.
