Bums off Seats the Fife Walking Initiative
Created: 15/02/2021Bums off Seats is a Fife Walking Initiative. It provides free local health walking opportunities in Fife and all walks are led by a trained team of Volunteer Walk Leaders. A health walk is a free, short, local walk and is suitable for most people, even if you have a long term health condition such as Dementia or Cancer.
At 09:30 - 13:00 on Wednesday 17 March 2021, Fife Health Promotion Training Team is running an interactive, condensed version of the one-day Walk Leader course. This course is aimed at adults 18 years+ who want to lead safe and effective health walks either 1 to 1 or with groups. Walking can take place in Tier 4 under outdoor learning with a max of 30 people, following Covid-19 procedures.
Those who attend the training would be given some pre-course work to do before joining the call as a starting point on your journey to becoming a walk leader. A pack containing your walk leader manual will be sent to you via postal mail.
