It is too late to book a place for this particular session, sorry about that.
Here are some of the very positive comments made by previous participants, who attended our volunteer management training last year.
“Very informative and really good amount of resources”
“Hosts were excellent and engaging”.
“Easily laid out”, “Friendly”
“Positive feedback, no wrong answers”
“The trainers clearly know their stuff”.
“Good to chat with others about volunteers”.
That volunteers are part of your organisation voluntarily is obvious, but do they ever feel an obligation to remain involved? Organisations therefore need to consider ways in which they may (consciously or unconsciously) be creating a 'contract' between themselves and their volunteers. This course will help you to identify any possible pitfalls and how to avoid them.
Included in the course:
• The difference between volunteers and other categories of people in an organisation
• The impact of the Equality Act 2010;
• The most likely areas of any legal challenge
• Issues to consider in your documentation, routines and recognition/reward
Who should attend
Anyone who has, or is expecting to have, responsibility for recruiting/managing volunteers in their organisation. Your organisation should be providing a service in Fife.
This event is free to attend but to encourage attendance and try and ensure a good turnout to benefit all delegates, we need you to give us at least 48 hours of any cancellation.
Notes from the session will be sent to all participants who complete a post-training evaluation.
