Charity Law Changes - Have your say
Created: 08/12/2020Fife Voluntary Action, along with the other TSIs in Scotland, have agreed with Scottish Government to help refine and take forward the proposed changes to current charity law. There is an intention to publish the proposals by the end of this parliamentary session, although in the current circumstances this timeframe may be subject to change.
We are specifically hosting online conversations with charities in Fife around a set of questions focused on:
A. enhancing transparency and accountability in Scottish charities
B. increased regulatory powers for OSCR (The Office of the Scottish Charity Regulator)
C. enhancing public trust and confidence in charities and regulation.
We understand that these are hugely challenging times for charities and those interested in charity law and should make clear that this strand of engagement does not mark the end of the process and is focused on helping to clarify the next steps. We will capture comments from the conversations and feed them back to Scottish Government.
To participate in the virtual conversation, facilitated by our own Capacity Building Team, book your place now as space may be limited. If you are unable to attend but would like to contribute, please contact our Head of Community Development, [email protected].
