How can you be proactive to ensure the right support:
As parents and carers, you are the experts - you know your young person better than anyone else and you hold a wealth of knowledge, information and experience! You know what level of support they need to be as independent as possible, what doesn't work, and what they need to stay safe, well and properly supported. But how do you share that essential knowledge with the people and teams supporting them?
At this event, Elizabeth McBride from Pamis will share insights and resources to help young people, including those with Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities, to make sure people know and understand their wants, needs and preferences.
