    It is too late to book a place for this particular session, sorry about that.

    We asked people who attended similar sessions earlier in the year to comment on what they liked or enjoyed most about our Volunteer Management training:

    • "the session was friendly and accessible";
    • "the information was well presented";
    • "the examples really help to bring to life the theory which is great";
    • "clear and concise"
    • "meeting new people and being involved in group activities"

    Course Content

    We all know that volunteers are part of your organisation, but do volunteers ever feel an obligation to remain involved? Organisations should consider ways in which they are, consciously or unconsciously, creating a 'contract' between themselves and their volunteers. This course will help you to identify any possible pitfalls and how to avoid them.

    What's included in this course:

    •    the difference between volunteers and other categories of people in an organisation;
    •    the impact of the Equality Act 2010;
    •    the most likely areas of any legal challenge; and
    •    issues to consider in your documentation, routines and recognition/reward.

    Who should attend?

    Anyone who has, or is expecting to have, responsibility for recruiting/managing volunteers in their organisation. Your organisation should be providing a service in Fife.

    Cancellation Policy

    This event is free to attend but to encourage attendance and try and ensure a good turnout to benefit all delegates, we need you to give us at least 48 hours of any cancellation.

    Additional Information

    Notes from the session will be sent to all participants who complete a post-training evaluation.
