It is too late to book a place for this particular session, sorry about that.

This full day practical and participative workshop will explore what we mean by community engagement, the national and local policy context and the National Standards for Community Engagement.  The Standards are a clear set of principles that describe the main elements of good quality community engagement. They provide detailed performance statements that everyone involved can use to achieve the highest quality results and the greatest impact. Participants will learn about the Standards and how they can be used in planning and evaluating engagement practice.  The workshop will be useful to participants that know about the Standards and those new to using them.

    Learning Outcomes from the training:

    • An understanding of the local and national policy context for community engagement and the National Standards for Community Engagement.
    • An understanding of how to use the National Standards to plan and evaluate engagement practice.
    • An understanding of how to support community stakeholders and partners to improve the quality of engagement practice.

    Who is it for?

This workshop is for participants who are new to the Standards or those who know something about them but want to know how they can use them every day to plan and evaluate practice.

Please note: As places are limited on this course priority will be given to members of Fife’s Engaging Communities Network and those who are members of Fife Community Development Network.
