Hours: Minimum of 10 per month
Salary : £8.75 per hourNorth East Fife Community Hub is currently seeking individuals to work in their Community Café on a part-time basis, with an agreed minimum of 10 hours per month.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Preparing and serving simple meals, snacks and beverages;
- General kitchen and dining room duties;
- Welcoming and chatting with all café users;
- Supporting and supervising volunteers; and
- Participating in group activities
Essential criteria:
- A strong team player;
- Able to provide a regular and effective service;
- A member of the PVG scheme, or willing to undergo a PVG check; and
- Supportive of the overall aims and objectives of the charity.
Desirable criteria:
- An understanding of working in a catering environment;
- An understanding of dietary and nutritional needs;
- Elementary Food Hygiene certificate or a willingness to undertake training;
- Manual handling awareness;
- Good customer care, communication and organisational skills; and
- An understanding of health and safety requirements.
