Funders‘‘ Fayre Workshop: Introduction to Peer Support
Created: 9/17/2025, Updated: 9/18/2025
This workshop takes place at Fife Funders' Fayre 2025 which is open to third sector organisations, community groups, voluntary organisations, and social enterprises in Fife that want to meet with a range of diverse funders to learn about the grant funding schemes that are available.
If you're signing up for a workshop, please ensure you have registered to attend Fife Funders' Fayre here.
Join us for a gentle, informal introduction to peer support. This is a great opportunity to explore the role of peer support and the benefits for the person and organisations.
Through engaging and interactive activities, we’ll build our understanding of peer support – when people use their own experiences to support others – and identify where it happens already in our communities and relationships. We will demystify the myths and look at what support is available to bring in Peer roles in an effective, safe and robust way.
You don’t need any prior experience or knowledge of peer support, just an interest!
This session will be led by Kelly Laing, Peer Support Network Coordinator at FVA.
Session aims:
