No Wrong Door is a key strategic initiative led by Fife Council, designed to shift the way services are delivered—from being service-centric to person-centric. Initially being developed in Cowdenbeath, this approach will be rolled out across Fife.

This transformation requires a fundamental redesign of how the Council operates, not only internally but also in how it collaborates with partners, public services, and the wider community. The goal is to create a seamless system of support for individuals and families, ensuring that no matter where someone first seeks help, they receive the right support without being passed from service to service.

By bringing together public, third sector and community services the No Wrong Door model aims to address complex and interconnected challenges in a joined-up, proactive way.

    Key Principles

    • Person-Centric Approach: The focus shifts from individual services to the needs of the person or household.
    • Seamless Access: People should get the right help, in the right place, at the right time, no matter how they first make contact.
    • Joined-Up Services: Different departments and partner organisations work together to provide a comprehensive support network.
    • Early Intervention: The goal is to help people before they reach a crisis point by providing proactive and preventative support.
    • Reduced Confusion: By coordinating services, individuals avoid having to repeat their story to multiple agencies

This workshop will offer an opportunity for third sector organisations to find out more information about the No Wrong Door model and how it is being implemented in Fife.
