Bairns' Hoose is Scotland's model for the Icelandic "Barnahus" or "children's house” - a service providing integrated support for children who have experienced abuse or witnessed violence, as well as children whose behaviour has caused harm.

Bairns’ Hoose is all about connecting services around the needs of the child by collaborating across agencies and disciplines providing children and young people with access to trauma-informed recovery, support and justice.

This session will be led by Hannah Grubb, Participation and Enagement Officer at Fife Health & Social Care Partnership.

    What you’ll learn:

    • What is a Bairn’s Hoose?
    • The purpose and vision of the Bairns’ Hoose model
    • The four main rooms in a Bairns' Hoose
      • Child Protection
      • Police & Justice Procedures
